Dear Santa: This One’s For My Man

Hey, y’all! It’s T here. I was invited to piece together a Holiday Gift Guide, so I’ve picked a few of my favorite products, as well as a few that are on my wishlist. I am honestly so bad at typing, so I’m letting B handle most of the descriptions, but these are my honest opinions–I’ll be helping her write each just like I’d recommend them! To be real, us guys love getting new wallets, belts, underwear, etc. each year, but its quite fun to get a few cool things, too!

B here! Ladies, I hope y’all find something that fits your sweet man’s style from T’s list! This has been so fun to watch him compile! 😉

1 (5)

1 // Rubber Wedding Band

When I married B I promised to never take my ring off unless I absolutely had to. With a metal ring, it’s hard to play basketball at the gym, so I found these rubber ones to wear while I’m shooting hoops. They clean really well + fit like a glove.

2 // New Balance Running Shoes

I’ve always preferred Nike running shoes, but after trying these on at Dick’s a few weeks ago, they were so much more comfortable. These are definitely on my list + better be under my tree on Christmas morning, B! hahaha

3 // 23+Me

I thought this would make a really cool gift for your dude. Especially if you’ve just gotten married or are planning a family, this would be an awesome way for your guy to map where his lineage came from.

4 // Wireless Headphones

Wireless headphones are a gift I’ve been begging for for over a year. B just doesn’t see the need since we have SO many pairs of Apple headphones, but they would be amazing in the gym. Guys, I’m sure you can agree–women, grab these for your guy for a super awesome gift.

5 // Joggers

Again, another gym staple. I love the way joggers stretch with movement and leave you extra room inside. These recommended ones are my favorites + are by Nike.

6 // Casper Nap Pillow

MAN, sleep is so important to me. I can fall asleep just about anywhere and Casper’s pillow are like heaven. I have a full-sized one, but this travel sized one would be perfect for trips!

7 // Apple Watch

When B gifted this to me for my birthday last year, I literally cried. haha Not embarrassed to admit it! If you are looking for a gift that will surprise him, this is it! I use mine everyday and it is perfect for tracking gym time! I would recommend a Nike Sport Band, as well.

8 // Patagonia Pullover

I live in pullovers–I wear them to work everyday in the Winter. My absolute favorite isn’t available online, so I’m recommending my second favorite. A note from B–this can be dressed way up or way down for your sweet man! + so so so warm, too!

9 // Polo Black (Cologne)

Cologne is a must for Christmas. I ask for a bottle every year + it usually lasts right up until Christmas Eve church service. hahaha My favorite is Polo Black, but grab your guy’s favorite for a long-lasting gift. Fun fact: I can’t smell AKA smell blind–I lost my smell after a golf cart accident where I fractured my skull. So, I don’t think I’ll ever change colognes, since this is the only one I remember the smell of.

10 // Trucker Hat

I have been wearing hats since I was born basically. I don’t leave the house without one unless B asks nicely. hahaha Patagonia’s trucker hats are my favorites, as the bill is high enough for me to wear my RayBans underneath.

11 // Nike Running Wind Shield

I tried this on a few weeks ago and loved the feel. Definitely on my list + your gym loving guy would be excited to open it!

12 // RayBan Clubmasters

Okay, so I listed these because Sunglasses are also a gift that will last a really long time. (unless your 70lb dog steps on them–not that I know from experience or anything) The quality of RayBan glasses is super high + this style is super stylish.

13 // Swell Water Bottle

Another fun fact–I am addicted to Dr. Pepper. Its bad. But, B has recently convinced me to start drinking more water after a nasty kidney infection. However, she wasn’t very enthused when she found out that I had just been refilling the same plastic water bottle for weeks. Y’all don’t really know how health conscious the woman is about me. hahaha SO, I started to search for reusing water bottles and found this awesome one at Nordstrom. I would 100% recommend to any desk-sitting job worker bro!

14 // Ugg Slippers

Can ya say cozy?! If I’m at home I’m either wearing socks or slippers + MAN these babies are comfy! I would recommend another brand if they were also this fluffy, but these are high on my list.

15 // Leather Money Clip

I realllllly like cash. Call me old-school, that’s fine. I would rather have a $20 on me than to use a card. Soooo, enter the love for money clips. I gifted these to my guys at my wedding + have one of my own. Perfect stocking stuffer gift!

16 // North Face Gloves

Anyone like their hands to be cold? Negative. I looked around for good gloves for a while before I came across these North Face ones. I feel like they are warm enough for some seriously cold temps + will be taking them with me to NYC next week. These would also make for a great stocking stuffer.

Thanks for reading–maybe she’ll invite me back next year! Let us know if you find something perfect for your man from this list + HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

From B: Hope you guys enjoyed my guest writer this afternoon 🙂 He has a dream of starting a travel blog, so stay tuned–it might just happen!

xoxo

DIY: Special Date Christmas Ornament

It’s here: my the first Christmas related DIY! *heart eyes* I am so excited to share this with you guys. This one is so special to me, since it was my first Christmas ornament gift to my sweet T. It marked our official “dating” date, June 10, 2015, which is when we exclusively declared ourselves “a pair”. *more heart eyes*

IMG_8100

This DIY project, like the others I’ve posted, is SO very easy. Less than 5 steps! We all have special dates: first dates, official relationship anniversaries, wedding anniversary, babies’ birth-dates, etc. Follow along below + learn how to create your own special date ornament!

_______

Step 1: Supplies

For this project you will need: A Clear Fillable Ornament, White Card Stock, Fake Snow Pieces, Red Velvet Ribbon, and a laptop with Microsoft Word

Step 2: Create a Calendar + Print

Okay, so this is the hardest part. If you know how to work Microsoft Word, however, you should be fine. Open Word + open a calendar template. Choose your special date’s year and month, and the rest of the dates should fill in. Decrease the size of the calendar to approximately the diameter of the center of clear ornament. *I’ve included an example below* *this might take a few prints–it usually takes me three to perfect!* When perfect, print, cut out, and place in the center of the ornament.

APAIRORNAMENT

Step 3: Add Fake Snow + Close

Once you have the paper in place, drop a few pieces of fake snow on each side of the card-stock. Close the ornament, making sure to hear the clicking sound of it closing shut.

Step 4: Add Ribbon + Hang

Instead of the regular ornament metal hanging piece, I recommend adding red velvet ribbon to hang the piece by. I feel like it gives it that last bit of Christmas flare. When the ribbon is tied, hang on your tree or wrap it up as a gift to your loved one!

Cozy Pajamas

Raise your hand if PJs speak actual life to you! Mine is raised so very high. I absolutely love coming home from a long ER shift + slipping into the most cozy wear to lounge on the couch. My favorite pair of PJ bottoms are a pair my mother-in-law gifts us gals every year. I can’t, for the life of me, find the link to them, but they are heavenly. (if you are local, I believe she snags them from The Antique Rose in Forrest City, AR) We all have that one pair that we’ve had for five-ever that we just can’t let go.Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

Life has been SO crazy lately that we really haven’t had much time to slow down for any pajama days. Butttt, one of my favorite weekend activities is lounging in my comfy clothes with my gal, @tylermichellewhiteblog. Throw in some coffee + a good Netflix drama + its the perfect set up.

I’m linking several pair of comfy PJs, here.

ps. every Christmas, all the gals in our family get matching pajamas on Christmas Eve. It is something I look forward to every single year + can’t wait to include my little ones some day! Stay tuned for a special Christmas jammies post, coming soon!! *heart eyes*

XOXO,

Golden Goose Dupes

I have been eyeing this pair of Golden Goose leopard sneakers for quite some time now. Being over $500, though, I knew I would almost never be able to afford them, so I just stopped looking. I saw another blogger post about a “major” sale Golden Goose was having last week + thought I would just Google to see for myself + up popped this featured Shein dupe version for LESS THAN $25.

IMG_7984

IMG_7986.JPG

They are almost EXACT matches of the GG pair + the quality is higher than I ever expected from Shein! The animal hair is obviously not real, but in reality, I’d rather wear the plastic version than know I’m wearing real animal fur. This, honestly, might be the biggest steal I’ve ever seen.

Side by comparison:

As the holidays are quickly approaching, these would be a perfect gift to add to your list! Your mom, bff, sister, or friend would absolutely love these + for literally over 90% off of the Golden Goose pair.

Shop the dupes, here!

XOXO,

DIY: Fall Garland

I’m begging T to let me put up my Christmas tree, but he’s made me promise that I’ll at least wait until November. Wellllll, here it is, November 1 + I am more than ready to pull my decor out. However, he is right about judgement looks from neighbors if I were to throw it all up now. So, I guess I’ll compromise + wait until November 10! hehe

10767213088_IMG_0363.JPG

Since I’m leaving my decor up a little longer, I thought I would share one more Fall DIY! This Fall Garland is SO easy to make + spices up your space. I will be packing this away + using year after year! Check out the step project below!

______

Step 1: Supplies

For this DIY, you will need:

Twine, Several Fabrics, and a Leaf Garland Strip

Step 2: Measure String

Start by measuring your mantle, to get an accurate measurement of twine you’ll need! I tied two knots at each end, so the string would hang off the back of my mantle as shown below.

10743981392_IMG_0521.JPG

Step 3: Cut + Tie Fabric

Next, you’ll want to take your fabrics + cut them into 6 in strips. I chose to only use a plaid and burlap, but I’ve seen several examples with multiple fun Fall fabrics!

10767209152_IMG_0364

After you cut the strips, simply tie them in a pattern on the burlap. I used hot glue to secure the first + last pieces, but I now know this is not necessary–just an add on! Continue tying until the twine is fully covered.

Step 4: Hang + Wrap the Leaf Garland

The last step is to wrap the leaf garland around the completed twine piece. I found that hanging it from my mantle first helped to wrap it easily. After that, your piece is finished!

XOXO,

Halloween With Walmart

It’s Spooky-Day, yaaay! I have food poisoning, of all things, but can’t wait to see all the little ones in their costumes, then curl up on my couch to watch the one+only Hocus Pocus! This precious bell-sleeved flannel is from…WALMART. My middle school self is cringing. hehe

Featured Bowl: Here!

IMG_7857.JPG

Shop The Full Look, here!

I never thought I would say I found the cutest styles from Walmart, but they have recently stepped their game waaay up. Their new line, Time and Tru is packed full of great pieces + this black and white flannel gives me all the Halloween feels. If you’re a busy student or mom, this piece gives a little bit of spooky-day appeal without a full costume. *stay tuned for my costume, however*

This featured piece is from the line + I just can’t get enough! The bell-sleeves add just the right amount of flare, without being too showy. I’m wearing a large here, but would definitely buy the medium if I had the choice. Another fun aspect is the sleeves tie to make the arms even tighter–this provides a larger amount of flare, if you wanted to go all-out!

Like I mentioned, this line is packed full of so many great pieces! Stay tuned, as I’ll be sharing more soon!

XOXO,
